Out of Office [Sep. 11th, 2008|03:00 am]
Whenever we take time off at work, we have to send out an email to let the team know that we will be gone. This actually includes our supervisor since he has very little to do with approving vacation now. Here's my out of office email for this weekend.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday September 10th, I will be out of the office, mourning my lost, wasted youth, and contemplating life, the universe, and everything. Yes, that does include the product of 9 and 6 in base 13. I will be returning on Monday the 15th. It’s all down hill from here. For those of you who may be concerned, no Fender guitars will be harmed in the execution of this weekend.

Here kitty, kitty [May. 2nd, 2007|01:01 am]
[Current Music |Beach Boys and Fats Boys - Wipeout]

Tonight, I'd like to talk about a subject that I know has been on all of our minds. Yes, that's right. You guessed it. Tonight, I would like to talk about that neurotic ball of fur, Spastic. That's not her full name. Her last name is Shit. Spastic Shit, kitty for hire. Yes, she's my little SS officer. Some of you know where her name comes from, but not all of you. I started calling her Spastic Shit because she really was a little spastic shit. This cat will run up the love seat and ner the top, jump off the side. I haven't seen it, but I've been told by reliable sources that she runs up walls.

She also likes to walk under your feet and then get mad when you step on her. Shortly after she came to live with us, that red headed step child kept jumping off chairs under my feet. I'd step on her paws and she'd squeal. I'd feel bad, but she was never swayed by my contrition. She'd just go on and give me the silent treatment. One day, during my break, I was laying on the couch. She came over to the arm my head was on, stood up, smaked the top of my head with her paw and ran off. Payback's a bitch. Wait, that's not right. Is there a similiar term for a female cat?

I wish I could vouch for all of the stories I've been told about this cat, but I can't. From the stories I've heard, she's agoraphobic. One time someone left the door open at the sister's place and they found Spastic, then called Ms Pen Squiggles, crouched on the porch, shaking. When my siblings were driving across country they had her caged up most of the time. At one point, they stopped, took the dog out on the leash, and let Spastic out of her cage. Spastic hid under the truck the whole time.

Another intersting quirk she has is that she seems to be a lesbian. She is not fixed and we really need to get her fixed. Keep meaning to do it, and hopefully after the current cycle is over. Anyway, when she's in heat, she seems to be more interested in Ms Parker and LaVaughn than me or Casper. Well, really, she seems to be more interested in most inanimate objects than Casper, even though he's the only one that could have ever given her that deep dicking she so craves, or not, whatever. I don't think she really understands that Ms Parker is just too big for a kitty 69 to work out that well. On a side note, she masturbates. She doesn't need to be in heat for that, either.

One night a couple of weeks ago, she stood up, leaned against the wall, and peered around the corner, looking to see if I was in my room. I wish I had been able to get that on camera. Last week, my internet connectiong dropped out so I went out to troubleshoot the modem. While I was using LaVaughn's computer, I felt this tap on my elbow. I looked down, and there was Spastic trying to get my attention, standing up, one paw supporting herself against my chair and the other next to my arm.

Some things I have seen her do, in the way of odd physical feats, include jumping really high. A lot of the time I see her jump up my door, usually when it's open, to about the level of my door knob. Once, I saw her jump up the bathroom door to about the level of the top hinge. She's a small cat.

Speaking of the bathroom, she likes to follow people in there and circle around their feet. When I stand, she has this habit of leaning up against the bowl and watching what I'm doing. Once, I was wiping my ass and she decided she needed to try to stick her head between my ass and the toilet seat to see what was going on. At night, she has figured out that when I come out of my room, it most likely means I am going to the bathroom. She doesn't follow me there; she gets there before me.

WTF? He's posting? [Feb. 20th, 2007|08:14 pm]
This is the revised scripting for the first scene of another new project that will never get finished. Yay! It's called Painted Whispers and it is supposed to be a graphic novel.

Guy is sitting alone at the bar, glass in hand. Laura is standing next to a guy, pointing toward Guy.

Laura is standing next to Guy. He hasn't noticed her standing there, yet. He's obsessed with the drink in his hand. Laura: "Hi. That guy over there wouldn't leave me alone and I told him I was meeting you here. When I hug you, try to look like you've missed me, not like some crazy drunk woman attacked you in a bar."

Laura is hugging Guy, and he's returning her hug. Guy: "Okay." Man that she had been talking to earlier is glowering at them.

Laura is sitting at the bar next to Guy. Laura: "Do you always laugh when you get hugged by attractive women?" Guy: "It was funny. I'm normally the guy women are running from. I'm Guy, by the way." Laura: "Laura. Are you serious? I get to introduce you as some Guy I met at a bar?"

Scene of Laura and Guy laughing at the bar.

Man that she was talking to in first scene walks by with some friends. Man: "You've been over hear talking to him for over an hour. Would be safe to assume that you aren't going to come to the club with us?" Laura: "Yes, Rick, it would be safe to assume that."

Laura looks over at Guy, smiling. Laura: "I think I'll stay here where I don't feel the need to compete for his attention."

Guy turns to look after them. Guy: "Wasn't that the guy you said wouldn't leave you alone?" Laura: "Yeah, he's my friend. I wanted to meet you and I didn't want you to be able to ignore me."

Guy turns and looks at Laura again. Laura, smiling: "I hope you aren't too mad at me." Guy, smiling: "That depends. Do I get your number before the night's out?"

HPHH Strikes Back [Nov. 27th, 2006|08:05 pm]
Tonight we were talking about the computer naming convention for the college I'm attending. It has campuses all over the US. Only one of those is in California. Anyway, RCSANDC02 would be Remington College San Diego Domain Controller #2. RC is followed be the first 3 letters of the city name, followed by an abbreviation for the type of computer and the number. The teacher mentioned that he didn't know what they would do in someplace like San Francisco. SAF,SFR, the possibilities are endless. HPHH said that LA would be a pain, too, since it's only 2 letters and then started laughing his ass off. For anyone reading this that doesn't know, LA is an abbreviation for Los Angeles.

Back Logging [Sep. 1st, 2006|04:43 pm]
Today I spent some time transfering entries over from my Myspace. At first, I was doing a pretty good job placing journal entries in both places. Not so much these last couple of months. I've back dated a bunch of entries, going all the way back to June 21st, for anyone that cares.

Forgive me father for I have sinned. . . Oh, wait I'm not Catholic [Aug. 31st, 2006|11:48 pm]
[Current Music |Anggun - Undress Me]

I ended up watching maybe half an hour of the VMAs tonight. I came in at about the point of the Best New Artist award. I loved it when the guy from Avenged Sevenfold thanked MTV for showing them that there was still a place for Rock on MTV. I was actually a little shocked looking for the different categories on the VMA's website to see that they actually had a rock category. Okay, not really. It was nice to see that several rock bands did win in less specific categories, though. Video of the Year, Best Group Video, Viewer's Choice, and a couple of the technical categories. I just have to know, what the fuck was with Ringtone of the Year? That wasn't really on the show was it? If so, I hope to see more creative categories next year. The VMAs were only 3 hours this year. Maybe next year they'll be 4 or 5 hours. Maybe, we'll see categories like "Most overused profile song on Myspace" next year. From what I've seen, that one probably would have gone to Shakira Hips Don't Lie this year. Maybe there's a petition we can start to get some better categories. "Most Overplayed Crap" "Music to Shoot Yourself To" "Least Imaginative Video" Well, okay. I guess Least Imaginative Video wouldn't really work. Shit, you'd have a 73 way tie there. "All of these videos have a singer standing there, trying to look cool, with half naked women dancing in the background. 35 of them have the same half naked women in the background. Thank god they have different backgrounds so we can at least tell them apart." They'd have to extend the awards show by another hour, or show quick flashes of the video so that only Tivo users will be able to know what they really were.

Projected Whining [Aug. 24th, 2006|12:10 pm]
[Current Music |Rddlin Kids - Hurry Up and Wait]

One of the 4 projects that have recently come to me is a Vampire story. The working title of this project is Hunter-Hunted. Here are some general character notes. I think I have the problems for this one smoothed out, but questions are welcomed.

Hunters are born to normal humans. The number of hunters born is directly proportional to the number of vampires roaming the earth. Hunters age naturally until they are about 20 years old, and then age their aging slows to 1/4th the speed. A hunter that is 100 years old will have the appearance of a 40 yr old. Hunters are extremely strong, even at a very young age. Their strength and speed rivals that of a vampire. Their blood is toxic to vampires, but a transfusion will slowly transform a normal person into a vampire. The length of time for the transformation depends on the size of the transfusion. Hunters heal quickly, but will need to eat large quantities of food or their bodies will cannibalize themselves. Hunters can not be turned into vampires. Vampires release subtle pheromones that hunters can smell and can use to track vampires over short distances. The smell is always present, but is stronger when vampires are close. Hunters are sterile and asexual.

What's Your Crack? [Aug. 22nd, 2006|03:22 pm]
[Current Music |My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge]

I bought way too much crack yesterday. 3 glasses of iced tea and 2 CDs. The CDs, for anyone that might care, were Breaking Benjamin's Phobia and five.bolt.main's Venting.

I'm never happy [Aug. 19th, 2006|11:13 pm]
[Current Music |Smile Empty Soul - Anxiety]

There was a point when I couldn't write anything, but you already know since you've read the about me. Before that I was working on several projects, or I guess several sub-projects. I have pieces for all of the remaining pieces of Future's Synthesis. For part 3, I have the beginning and part of the end written. I know parts of the middle, but not the full story. The other 3, I've written the beginnings and I know the ends. For many projects, I know the end before I really know the beginning. That's the way I write. What does that have to do with my subject? I don't really know. I got side tracked. One of the efrfects of my depression was that I couldn't write, which made me more depressed. It was a vicioius circle. My depression is still there, but it's not as heavy, now that I've gotten away from Aradiant. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I sound like a broken record. I'm writing again, but instead of the 4 projects I was working on before it really got bad, I have 4 new projects. Actually, I think I have 5. The 5th one is an attempt to self publish some of my writing. Yes, I've gotten seriously sidetracked from that one. Maybe someday I'll actually finish one of these projects and get back to the old ones. I don't like the idea of leaving my children under developed and rotting away.
